STAR WARS: DAWN OF DEFIANCE Episode I THE TRAITOR’S GAMBIT It is a dark time in the galaxy. The evil Galactic Empire has spread from the Deep Core to the Outer Rim, and everywhere the Empire’s tyranny can be felt. Fleeing from the oppression of the Emperor’s minions, agents of Senator Bail Organa have run to a remote space station above Brentaal. Known to be a vocal opponent of the Empire, Organa may be the last hope of freedom in the galaxy. In the hopes of stopping these dissidents before they can reach the Senator, the Empire has alerted its forces on Sel Zonn Station, where the struggle for liberty rages on, and the first sparks of rebellion have begun to burn... ===================== Dawn of Defiance is a string of ten adventures that spans a saga's worth of adventure, taking the characters on a journey from levels 1 to 20. The Dawn of Defiance campaign begins in the early months of the reign of the Empire, shortly after the end of Revenge of the Sith. The Empire is tightening their iron grip on the peoples of the galaxy, and Darth Vader hunts the surviving Jedi to near extinction. In this time, many have willingly joined with the Empire, especially those in the Core Worlds where noble houses benefit greatly from the tyranny of the Empire, but there are some who resist. These rebels find themselves driven from their homes, and forced to live on the edge. But hope is not lost, heroes are organizing, and building a coalition which can defy the Empire, and perhaps one day, bring freedom to the galaxy. ====================== Player Characters in Dawn of Defiance will start the game as outcasts, smugglers, ex-Republic soldiers, jedi apprentices on the run, outspoken anti-imperial nobles, or the like, on a remote space station far from the core worlds. Here the heroes will encounter agents of Senator Bail Organa, and aid them in delivering secret cargo to this vocal opponent of the Empire. From there the heroes will become key figures in the formation of The Rebellion, and uncover secrets of the now seemingly extinct Jedi Order.

How to prepare
Players should prepare for session 0 by having a free account on Roll20 and Discord, and installing the Discord app on the device they plan to use to join the call for the game. Upon joining the campaign, I will send you an invite to join the Discord sever from which the game is organized, and documents/character art can be shared.
What I provide
I will bring my premium Roll20 account, maps for all the encounters in the campaign, carefully selected art for all major NPCs, locations, and monsters, and a deep love of Star Wars.
Gameplay details
In terms of content warnings, consider anything that you can see in the Star Wars movies, or various TV series, to be likely to come up. Mind tricks, slavery, death, dismemberment by lightsaber, abuse of power from Stormtroopers, interrogations, murder, revenge, etc. But the content will be kept to that PG-13 level. I put the Character Death tag here though, because I do all my dice rolls in the open, and since unlike D&D resurrection magic is not an option, it is possible for an unlucky series of rolls to spell doom for a PC, especially early in the campaign. I do not expect this to happen, and you do not need to fear any Save or Die, or other such extreme affects, however, PC Death IS on the table if the dice demand it. During Session 0 we will discuss tone, and these content warning, along with the use of the X, N, and O Cards, which are digital through Roll20 and capable of being used Anonymously.

How will character creation work
Characters will be created collaboratively during Session 0, or between sessions for any players joining after Session 0. Characters will begin at Level 1. Character sheets will be stored in the Roll20 for the campaign.
