About the adventure

Set in the year 2378 after the end of the Dominion War and the return of the USS Voyager, the galaxy rests on an uneasy peace, but to the officers, crew, and civilians of Deep Space 13, day-to-day life is about research, commerce, and exploration. Sat at the edge of the galaxy, looking out at the interstellar void has brought some strange folk out to the station, and its reputation for being haunted has given DS13 another name - The Last Post... "Ben is an amazing GM. They are patient and created an inviting space where I felt comfortable playing even though I've had limited RPGing experience. They were down for any crazy request we threw at them and shot back exciting retorts. Ben had us excited for action, then laughing at hijinx, then scared of ghosts all within a few short hours. I can't wait to find another session to play with them!"

How to prepare

Access to Discord and a few minutes here and there to play are all you need. This can be done entirely on your phone, in your lunch-break! If you need an excuse, you could always say that I told you to watch Deep Space 9 for inspiration - but if you're reading this, you probably have...

Gameplay details

Tags are included as possibilities, not certainties. Lines and Veils will be followed completely. The game is an asynchronous Play-by-Post game where you can log in and play as often or as little as you like during the day/week. This will be a social and narrative game for the most part - conflict will be more narrative than tabletop based on character attributes and skills over dice rolls (although there is scope for dice use through a Discord Bot at times.) you can expect, roleplaying, mystery, intrigue, and social dynamics as you join either the crew, researchers, or civilians aboard the station, gazing out over the interstellar abyss... Sexism, Racism, Homophobia, and Transphobia are not tolerated under any circumstances between players and my server is open and welcoming to members of the LGBT+ community!

How will character creation work

There will be a thread on Discord for character creation, with a full breakdown of how to do it and links to helpful websites! Once you submit a digital copy of your character, and it is approved, you will have a personalised introduction to the station (depending on faction) and be unleashed on the evolving story of DS13 - The Last Post.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
