Spelljammer: Light of Xaryxis

About the adventure

This Dungeons & Dragons adventure ventures into Wildspace and the Astral Sea. The characters navigate these environments aboard ships that can traverse vast distances by using a magical form of travel known as spelljamming. Characters can either start on Faerun or Wildspace, and the first session will be about the characters themselves rather than the module. They will eventually encounter a planet-consuming threat that the party must work together to defeat, before all is lost within Wildspace. Why is the session so cheap?: Because I'm a newer DM, but not new to D&D! So don't let that dissuade you.

How to prepare

I ask for you to have a PC, decent microphone, and internet connection. Foundry, D&D Beyond, and Discord will be used and are all free, and I have all the content unlocked on them for you. No webcam needed.

What I provide

I will likely be making custom maps and NPCs for the campaign, through the use of map makers or Photoshop. I will have notes on your character's specialties in order to incorporate them into the sessions. I will do my best to immerse with music and ambience. I'll wiggle around the rules for the sake of player fun, if needed.

Gameplay details

Players may experience a few Foundry VTT bugs on the first session that will quickly be ironed out the following session, once they're identified. Play what you want, as long as it fits in a cooperative setting with other people. Breaks and boundaries will be discussed and honored with each player. I'll import your character from D&D Beyond, and everything will be played in Foundry VTT.

How will character creation work

Discussions will be made in discord, and session 0 will be about rolling stats, getting used to D&D Beyond and Foundry, and finalizing character creation.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
