About the adventure

High Fantasy Adventure on the High Seas... of Space! In a world where Wizards and Sorcerers can be Ace pilots, and a Paladin might have a giant space hamster for a mount. You can sail the Void Sea between worlds, fighting space manta riding pirates or engaging in ship to ship battle with the mind eating Illithid fleets. This is my own adaptation of Spelljammer for 5e, I use a few modified classes and subclasses as well as modified and new backgrounds and races. This game takes heavy inspiration from early Pirates of the Caribbean films as well as the Andy Collins excerpt from Dragon Magazine back in the early 2000s and 7th sea adventures.

How to prepare

I only require that you have a microphone, discord and a basic understanding of Fifth Edition D&D as well as a willingness to learn Spelljammer.

What I provide

I will make digital maps and eventually I may do character art as well. My plan, eventually, is to import the campaign to dndbeyond, but I'm not at that point, yet.

Gameplay details

A typical session will be sandboxy within the constraints of Spelljammer. I expect lots of fun roleplaying and exciting/goofy experiences. Spelljammer is based on the idea that sailing ships can have a magical "Helm" which is powered by magic and piloted by magic users. Spelljammer pilots will usually be wizards or sorcerers, but Divine Helms do exist. There are also psionic helms used by the Mind Flayer fleets, which feed on the mental energy of enslaved thralls. Each star system is enclosed within a crystal sphere, which has a limited number of exits and entrance points. Those entrance and exit points allow access to the vast "Seas" between spheres. Battle in the Void Seas (also called the Phlogiston by sages) is all but unheard of, but not impossible. Most pirates and ship to ship battles occur at the limited entrance points to the spheres themselves.

How will character creation work

We will require a Session Zero, since backgrounds, classes and races have been modified or replaced. Depending on player experience, we will probably be starting at level 3, but I prefer quick leveling, so you should reach level five after roughly 4 sessions, assuming normal activity.
