About the adventure

The Kirin clan has come home into Rokugan, plus about a century after. Currently is at a time of peace with social gatherings every week filled with high decorum and experimenting of flavourful food. Taking close to a century, the Kirin clan spread rumours of rarer spices existing outside of Rokugan's territory. Certain noble families have employed merchant courtiers and samurai guards to search for these goods. Of course there's still Shadow Spirits escaping the veil; of which those spirits also have uses for rare spices, minerals, metal. Some spirits are vengeful; and some may follow those who go past the empire's walls. Character choices and law of causality matter.

Additional Details

How to prepare

Please have discord voice/text/video installed; real dice consisting of d6, d10, d8, d12; working microphone and webcam; paper and pencil for character info and story notes. Owning legend of the five rings 4th or 5th edition helps but not necessary.

What I provide

I will have the 4th edition rule book although I am using less of the "strife" mechanic from 5th edition. Spice and spirits is about finding rare materials outside of the known empire. I will have simple broader geographical maps ready to link in discord or minis on camera for smaller engagements.

Gameplay details

There will be a session zero for all players which aids in character integration and cooperation. Please do not come expecting pvp. If a player cannot make session zero, we will allow the first 30 minutes of the next session continuation of session zero.

How will character creation work

If you have a concept in mind before meeting, great. Official character creation done during session zero. This is meant to help in character cooperation. Also, this gives the chance for a character to share a background story with another.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
