About the adventure

In the 8th millennium, the Aubade empire had finally reached its zenith, rapidly expanding and conquering every planet in the solar system and beyond. This rapid growth has created a paradox, a disease that spreads like wildfire and plagues entire worlds. Parts of the solar system have been abandoned, others are no longer profitable or are even deemed unsustainable. Others yet were destroyed because it was cheaper than curing the disease which came to be known as the Xenoplague. The horrendous war crimes have piled up, some seek to break their bonds and stride on their own but the heavy hand of the empire snuffs out the flame of rebellion in its infancy. That is until 7272 when all things were about to topple like dominos. In the Primus sector, known as the homeland of the Aubade empire; Malvaurus prime is on the brink of destruction. The pollution, disease, and gravitational imbalance have led all the wealthy to evacuate. All that remains now are sprawling mega-cities that have fallen to slums and crime-ridden hell-holes. You are among the destitute stuck in the vicious cycle, fighting for scraps, hunting for bounties, riding with the psychotic biker gangs, or even serving slum-kings in their pursuit to claim more land. When the slum-kings acquire too much power over the other gangs, or the nobles believe it's time for a population weeding, the Malvaurus Mechanised Scythe platoons drop in and the streets run red. On one such occasion, one of the scythers got separated from the wolf pack, in his mech he slaughtered 135 "Bandits" and brought down half a block but eventually, you took the mech down. Over the next two months, you've reverse-engineered the mech and now possess the means to strike at your oppressors, but first, you must show force to unify the slums into a single clenched fist. Some will call this an act of terrorism, others a necessary evil, but all those in the dirt and grime of Malvaurus will call it salvation.

Additional Details

How to prepare

You will need a good mic and a decent internet connection. You can check out my subclass on DMs Guild using the provided link:

What I provide

I will provide the game's platform, maps, music, and snippets of lore if you are interested. Additionally, I will add you to my private server where we can get to know each other and talk about the game in more detail.

Gameplay details

This one-shot is made to test out my homebrew subclass for the artificer, the mechanist, in which you build and pilot a mecha. You can expect fast-paced combat with a focus on cinematics and player agency, I want you to feel the grittiness of this world and work together to accomplish awesome things. You will all play as mechanist artificers who were born and raised in the slums. You will not be the traditional "good" guys, all of you are insane, chem-infused psychos, with no moral qualms and enriched intelligence chips.
