Dungeons & Dragons 5e on Foundry VTT
About the adventure
You and your crew of smugglers navigate the windways, the skycurrents between islands which bask in the endless light of the Spheres, safe from the darkness of the Coil above and the tumult of the magestorms below, and all is well. Was well. Something is shifting in the winds, the stones sing strange new songs, and Death ventures forth from its domain in the darkness above to reap where it will. Not that this changes your day to day, mind you. There are still jobs to complete, orders to deliver, bounties to claim. For now. Join a select crew for a 5e adventure in a homebrew world which has been described as "a lighter form of Shadowrun", where magic and technology mingle, the stones within the floating isles sing, and the endless day creates many opportunities. ____ Why hire a professional DM? Your time is valuable. Trusting your story to a professional means that you will get the most for that time, granting a break from the average day to day in which you can immerse into a world of adventure. Losing a campaign to schedule conflicts or player inconsistency is a struggle all of us have been through. Hiring a DM means that you will have a guarantee of the game playing regularly. The quality of your campaign immersion and the level of DM preparation can make or break a session. You are paying for a devoted storyteller who knows your character, the rules, and the lore of the world to give you the best experience possible. Why go Indigo? I will write the campaign to fit you and your party, tailoring sessions to best fit your needs and play style. Prefer role-play and exploring handcrafted towns? Taming the wilds to ensure the safe passage of goods and travelers? A mix of both? Your campaign will be whatever suits you, with a plot and adventuring companions that complement your play style. How to prepare
Players must have a reliable microphone, working sound/headphones, and stable internet. Players must also be willing to join a game-specific group chat (over on Guilded), and follow basic server rules/codes of conduct. These things make the game smoother, diminishing time spent in distraction attempting to solve technical issues (though when these do inevitably happen, I am always happy to help).
What I provide
I bring you the world and its inhabitants, through description and art (both provided in the source material and made by me). All you will need to bring to a session is yourself and the majority of your attention (as there is no escape from distraction in the world of today.)
There will hopefully be roughly equal levels of roleplay and mechanical gameplay, as you and your choices shape the type of game we play. Whether you prefer to hunt bounties across the open sky, discover ways to upgrade your ship, or explore the world your characters live in, there will be space for it. I do tend towards largely homebrewed campaigns, with flexible magics. If you can convince me something will/would work within the rules of the world, I will usually allow it!
