About the adventure

People in the city don't like skeletons. Everyone fawns over the local vampire, and plenty want to study under the lich two towns over, but when someone sees a skeleton they call the guard. Rent is due by the end of the week, and you need crash. With no better options, you turn to your skeletal comrades and start a crime ring. Plan and execute heists while hiding the fact that you are a skeleton in your daily life. Enjoy all kinds of skeleton and crime related shenanigans in Skeleton Crimes. In Skeleton Crimes, players will take on the rolls of skeletons trying to make ends meet by committing crimes. This game will be run using the GrimBlade system. A large portion of the game will take place in theater of the mind.

How to prepare

Players should buy the Grimblade book at https://beckelhimer.itch.io/grimblade, have a discord account, a microphone, and a Roll20.net account. Players should read the GrimBlade book to understand the rules somewhat before play.

What I provide

I will provide music, maps and images for mood setting, and a discord voice chat for people to discuss the game while playing.

Gameplay details

This game will feature body horror in the sense that you are a skeleton. Your character may die, and there will be the threat of violence against your character in a number of situations. This game will have a session 0 to set expectations, discuss Lines and Veils, and create characters. This game uses Lines and Veils. Lines are content that players don't want in the game, and Veils are content that players want only hinted at or alluded to, rather than explicitly shown. There is an open door policy at my table, if you need to leave you are free to do so. If the game continues past 2 hours there will be a 10 minute break at the 2 hour mark.
