About the adventure
A Mage: The Ascension + Changeling: The Dreaming 20th Anniversary chronicle. San Francisco is a city of stories. Stories of Coyote, Eagle, and Hummingbird, told by the indigenous Ohlone people. The Mission San Francisco de Asís and the Presidio established by the Spanish in 1776. The wild gold rush of the mid-1800s. The great earthquake and fire of 1906. The military presence from the Civil War through the Pacific Theater of World War II. The World’s Fair in 1939. By mid-century, it became a magnet for counter-culture: beat poets followed by hippies, musicians and occultists, artists and the Gay Rights movement. By the 1980s, though, the spirit of the city began to change. The Embarcadero freeway cut across the historic piers. Skyscrapers began to loom over the old Victorians. And then the internet happened. For almost 30 years, the city has seen a near-relentless push towards stasis and banality. It’s time to push back.

How to prepare
Players meet on Discord and we roleplay via text & roll dice via dice bot. Buying the core rulebook (Mage or Changeling 20th, PDF is fine!) will help a lot!

Gameplay details
Sessions include a lot of role play, interacting with NPCs, solving in-world problems, exploration, and occasional combat. The game runs PG-13, bordering on R. We've used Monte Cook Games' Consent in Gaming safety tool. https://www.montecookgames.com/consent-in-gaming/

How will character creation work
Characters started at beginner level. I'm very pro-active about helping players create a PC that will fit into the game and answering any questions that come up!
