About the adventure

A tale of darkness, claustrophobia, and evil. After spending a night in a long-forgotten vault beneath Candlekeep, the party finds themselves trapped inside with the vault's other denizens, and caught in the middle of a sinister mystery. Everyone is suffering from a mysterious affliction. Is it a disease? A curse? Or perhaps something more sinister? The party must investigate, explore, and figure out just what is happening before everybody's time runs out, or worse, the strange malady gets out of the vault and spreads.

How to prepare

Players will need a working microphone and camera, as play will be heavily reliant on video chat. The chat will be through Discord, so a free account on that platform will be needed as well. Players may build their own characters or use pre-gens I will provide. But if building your own, prepare it prior to arriving, and have either a D&D beyond link or a PDF of it to send to the DM. Please keep character builds to officially published Wizards of the Coast content. Bringing dice is encouraged, but if you do not have any, an online dice roller will suffice.

What I provide

I will supply level 4 pre-gen characters for anybody who may need them. I will also have an Roll20 session complete with battlemaps set up.

Gameplay details

The content of this one shot revolves around being, and feeling, trapped. There is some violent content, and some content built around (temporary) loss of control and self-agency.

Content warnings

How will character creation work
