About the adventure

hi! this is an introduction game to shadowrun fifth edition! learn to create a shadowrunner; someone who's gone off grid and now works as a mercenary of sorts for the powers that be. This will be a introduction game for anyone who's ever wanted to play or who's interested in the setting. Shadowrun is and incredibly dense setting mixing gritty cyberpunk action and drama mixed with magic and fantasy; you'll find elves that are cybernetically linked to motorcycles, trolls that can jack into the matrix and street shamans summoning hordes of rats to gnaw at the lone star security force chasing you down as you make off with the job your resident johnson hired you for to get some sweet sweet nuyen. we'll go through character creation, build your professional badass and go through a quick run of the time honored tradition of breaking and entering into a corp building to steal a new piece of cyberware prepared to enter the markets in a few weeks. it'll be fun!

How to prepare

you'll need a discord or roll20 account, both would be preferable. absolutely must have a microphone so we can communicate freely between each other. pre made characters will be accepted so long as i can look them over and approve them!

What I provide

i will have the books and character sheets ready to go, as well as dice bots (shadowrun uses A LOT of d6s we'll all be glad for that) and i'll have music provided in the background to add atmosphere.

Gameplay details

shadowrun uses a monster amount of d6s (you'll be glad we're using the dice bots for this trust me) and it's traditionally played as a bit of a heist game: getting a job, planning it out, looking at all the angles, then about twenty minutes of unabashed mayhem. everything from magic to the matrix to cybernetic trolls with shotguns kicking down the door can happen. quick thinking is what saves the day here!

How will character creation work

if you have a character ready to go let me see what you've got, i'll probably approve it. if you want to build something there and learn how i'll guide you through it to build something awesome! if you just want to jump in to it i'll also provide pregens to select from.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
