About the adventure

"Thank you for your purchase of a partial share of the soon-to-come Dragon Coast Branch of Acquisitions Incorporated! In the wake of disaster, we've acquired a dossier of frugal properties in the region for you to choose from! Report to the Acquisitions Incorporated Head Office and we can discuss the details in greater depth. It's not often we have groups come in at the ground level to start a franchise, but we like to cater to groups who have an already established rapport with each other, as we've found it increases first month profit margins by a non-negligible amount. You'll leave this meeting with the location of your Branch office, a copy of the hiring contract of your office's chosen Majordomo, and the Golden Acorns required for admittance. Within the tenday, you are to report to your chosen office with the included Golden Acorn together. Partial attendance may result in forfeiture of shares, all of which will be claimed by Head Office in default. If you signed on with this company and expected refunds, you should have done better research. I look forward to our meeting, and wish you the best of luck in your endeavors. On behalf of Omin Dran, CEO of Acquisitions Incorporated, Cleric of Tymora -Certainty Dran, Secretarian, Head Office, Acquisitions Incorporated "

Additional Details

How to prepare

A camera is not necessary for anything except verification of physical dice rolls, but a microphone is preferred for efficiency of the game. We can create characters during this session, or I can simply verify them day of and help you fill out whatever pieces you might be missing.

What I provide

access to most rules, unbreakable enthusiasm, fair adjudication, and comedy through wordplay

Gameplay details

Rather than start at level 1 and travel through the Orrery of the Wanderer as written, I've imagined up some hijinks in the Dragon Coast region of Faerun. Players will start at level 3, endure a test to ensure they're franchisee material, and then begin building their franchise up while performing jobs provided to them by the Head Office, who will take their cut of all payments. As this is a session 0 version, we can collectively decide where you would like to base your franchise out of, and generate your franchise elements as a group to ensure you have the game you want to play. I will grab any and every hole left in your backstory to ensure that the tribulations experienced are meaningful to your characters on a personal level as they climb the corporate ladder, with possible cameos of Acq. Inc. personnel.

How will character creation work

Characters will start at level 3, with your choice of stat rolling system(point buy, standard array, roll 4d6 drop 1), although rolled stats will be subject to scrutiny(I'll have to watch the rolls happen if they're physical to ensure fairness, we can do this at any time before the session via Discord or Roll20). If you've brought a group, this is definitely the version you should sign up for, so you can all create characters together and design your Franchise to your specifications within the region. That's not to say you should be discouraged from signing up if you don't already have a group. A Session 0 can be helpful in determining how your party fits together, and potential roles within the franchise. Session 0 options give strangers a chance to get to know each other before the first session.
