About the adventure

In 1980 10 teenage camp counselors descend on Camp Shady Pines in Maine, eager for a carefree summer out in the woods, looking after rich people's kids. Little did they know that a dreadful maniacal killer awaited them in the lake! After the counselors are found brutally murdered on Saturday morning, June 14th, 1980, your crime scene investigation team arrives to clean up the mess and track down the killer. ——————— This scenario is inspired by slasher films and is intended for players and a Keeper who enjoy leaning into and exploiting those tropes. The tone of this scenario is dark comedy-horror, and it’ll be more fun to play it as a slasher flick, instead of a traditional game where you might be hesitant to go into the dark basement alone after the power has gone out. There’s fun in slashers in addition to their darkness, and that dual nature is explored here.
