About the adventure

When a previously wealthy merchant's ship mysteriously re-appears off the coast, he spends his last coin hiring you to retrieve some documents still on board. Finish this job, and he claims you'll be set for life. But what documents could be so worthwhile to throw his last copper away? How did his ship disappear in the first place? And most concerningly, how did it show up years later with no crew and looking as if it could collapse from a light breeze? In this one-shot, you'll explore a battered ghost ship, fight creepy monsters, and uncover society-threatening occult secrets.

Additional Details

How to prepare

You will need the following: - A microphone - A free Roll20 account - A level four character - Webcam optional - You can roll in Roll20, but many people find rolling physical dice to be more fun. Myself included! If you've got them, you're more than welcome to use physical dice instead of Roll20.

What I provide

I bring access to character options and rules through the Roll20 compendium. I utilize dynamic lighting, FX, scripting, and more through Roll20 to make the game smooth and seamless.

Gameplay details

We will open the session by discussing lines and veils and reviewing any other safety concerns you may have. X, N, and O cards are built into roll20 and will be explained! You are also welcome and encouraged to message me with any questions or concerns before or during the session. Your safety and comfort are more important than any story or game, and I will always put them first. Expect to jump right into the action once we get playing. My goal is to give you the best and most fulfilling experience in one session that I can, so we will get right to the good stuff!

How will character creation work

This is a one-shot adventure for 4th-level characters. We won't be taking time at the beginning of the session for character creation, so make sure to have a character ready to go! Or use a pre-generated character I already have for you in Roll20 that you are free to customize or change as you see fit. Upon joining the Roll20 game, a character sheet will be created automatically for you to level up. If I don't have access to a character option you want in Roll20, you prefer handling your character sheet differently, or you need help using Roll20's character creator, feel free to message me! We can work out whatever is best for you and set you up for success. We will use point buy for stat generation, but you are welcome to roll for health if you are feeling dangerous! Multiclassing and feats are allowed! I'm also open to homebrew and 3rd party options, just send me a message before the session so we can work something out.
