    About the adventure

Here there be dragons! The frontier town of Phandalin is built on the ruins of a much older settlement. Hundreds of years ago, the old Phandalin was a thriving human town whose people were firmly allied with neighboring dwarves and gnomes. Then an orc horde swept through the area and laid waste to the settlement, and Phandalin was abandoned for centuries. In the last three or four years, settlers from the cities of Neverwinter and Waterdeep have begun the hard work of reclaiming the ruins of Phandalin. The new settlement is home now to farmers, woodcutters, fur traders, and prospectors drawn by stories of gold and platinum in the foothills of the Sword Mountains. The arrival of a white dragon threatens to destroy all that they've worked to rebuild. Designed for character levels 1-6. Join me, your fair and humble Dungeon Master, as we embark on a legendary quest to slay a dragon!

    How to prepare

A mic, headphones and good internet connection are required. Players are required to create free accounts for Discord, D&D Beyond and The Forge if they don't have one. Internet browsers that generally work best for Foundry VTT are Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome and Firefox.

    What I provide

Dragons of Icespire Peak is played using Foundry Virtual Tabletop. We use Discord for voice/text chat. I provide a crash course for both platforms so that everyone is comfortable using them. We also occasionally use Syrinscape Fantasy Player for mood and music.

    Gameplay details

Legendary tales and immersive roleplay or the thrill of savage combat? Humor and heroics or dire dungeon crawls in the dark? We can have it all, but I tend to focus on player preference and will always strive to tailor games to your liking. Beginners are welcome! The split between combat, exploration and roleplaying will be about even for this campaign. There will be a general emphasis on roleplaying at times during this adventure. There is a fair amount of mystery and intrigue in my games and, of course, plenty of monsters and villains to contend with! This game is for mature audiences. Please be kindly and patient with other players. I have zero tolerance for any kind of bias or bad behavior at my table. Safety tools and guidelines are offered and enforced. Safety tools like "The X Card", "Lines and Veils" and "Open Door" are offered and enforced. If you have any questions or concerns regarding these tools and how they are used please feel free to ask.
