Ruins of Barnest: A Genesis D&D Excursion

About the adventure

Within the untamed forested country of Kresk, the coastal village of Strixen has lost contact with a certain forest hamlet by the name of Barnest. Caravan's have not come through and no word has arrived from them in over a month. The leaders of the village fear the worst, and call for any nearby mercenaries and Hawk guildsmen to investigate. This adventure will be an excursion in my setting on the world of Aeternum, meaning that it will be a roughly 3-4 session long adventure focusing on introducing players to the setting, their party, and the system while taking you through a fun adventure. This homebrew setting has custom backgrounds which expand on the feature and better integrate your characters into the world. There is also a pantheon of homebrew deities and their followings. There will be a session 0 for character creation. Feel free to ask anything about my homebrew setting. I like to play a semi-serious game and have fun with my players. I want to create a high quality production using art, foundry VTT, and music as aids to my games. PLEASE check my GM profile for more information about my style of play and about myself . The last thing I'd want is for a player to be upset that the game is not played in a way that they expected.

This is a beginner game which means you are only expected to have a basic understanding of the game and the idea of tabletop games in general, but if you are an absolute newbie or have any concerns in this vain please let me know beforehand.

How will character creation work

Character creation will take place during a free scheduled session 0 where players can ask questions, learn about the world, make their characters, meet eachother, and decide if my GM style is really for them. Experienced D&D5e players can make their characters any way they want during or after the session 0, while newer players will be guided through the process by me and the help of my Genesis character creation guide. Genesis uses custom backgrounds that all players will choose from. All players will send me their final choices and I will import them into Foundry VTT. For this campaign, players will start at level 1

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
