About the adventure
This is a workshop for game masters and players to learn the in's and out's of the virtual tabletop, Roll20. I will go over the most useful and most complimented features such as: - character management, - handout creation and functionality, - safety tool integration, - and map features and shortcuts (including token settings, dynamic lighting, spell effects, and measurements). Join us as I teach you some of the tips and tricks I've picked up over the years!

Additional Details
How to prepare
Attendees will need: - a stable internet connection, - access to Zoom (audio required, participant video is optional, but I will be sharing my screen for a large portion of the workshop), - and a roll20 account (free or paid). Many of the Roll20 features are easier to manage on a computer with a mouse, but I will also show you some workarounds for laptops and devices.
What I provide
I will provide a detailed walk-through tutorial and a link to a copy of the notes/content so you can use them moving forward.
Gameplay details
This session will not feature any triggering content, as it is a tutorial, however, we will use Zoom Chat (which can be toggled public or just to me) should an attendee need to take a break, rewind, or pause. We WILL go over some of the tools I use, however--integration of the X card, lines and veils, and the RPG Safety Toolkit that is a free add-on in Roll20's marketplace.
Content warnings

How will character creation work
We will be using the Roll20 charactermancer to create characters. You will have access to my compendium, though this will be more for fun than for functionality.
Players can expect
- Combat/Tactics: Low
- Roleplay: Low
- Puzzles: Low
- Experience Level: Open to all
