This super-simple microsystem is rules-lite and improv-heavy. You can do anything you want - as long as the dice are in your favor. Want to know if you remembered to put your shoes on this morning? Roll for it. Need to climb a wall? Roll for it. Think you're a wizard? Let's ask the dice... There's no "classes" or "levels", just skills. Easy to learn, easy to have fun, easy to end up laughing so hard you can't breathe. What will you be today?

How to prepare

You'll need a decent mic and speaker/headphones setup. Nothing too fancy, though - if it's good enough for a thirty-minute phone call (and you can wear the headset all day), it's *probably* good enough for this. Video is optional - while it's nice to be able to see people (you pick up on a lot of nonverbal cues that you never realize), I'm rather camera-shy and understand that not everyone likes to be on camera. You'll also need a copy of Fantasy Grounds Unity. It's free, and you can find it at . Make sure you install and update at least the day before your first game!

What I provide

I use Fantasy Grounds Unity, and have an Ultimate license, so all you need is a demo copy (available for free from I'll happily send you a copy of your character sheet after the game, too.

Gameplay details

Characters start with nothing more than a Name and very brief Description, such as "Nik the insatiably curious", "Jennifer the greasemonkey", or "Velyn, wizard extraordinaire". They have one skill, "Do Anything", at level 1. Whenever the player wishes to do something - or establish some bit of lore or worldbuilding - they roll a number of six-sided dice (d6) equal to their skill level (early on, just one), opposed by the GM's roll. If you beat the GM's roll, you succeed at what you were attempting, or get to determine something about the world. Advancement is based on the exact numbers rolled on the dice, while Experience Points (also used for advancement) are earned for failure - you learn from your mistakes. It's entirely possible to fail at a task (thus earning a point of XP) while still advancing in a skill. Skills can be almost anything - Do Anything, Athletics, Magic, Remembering, "Am I there?", "Make me there!", Son of a shoemaker, Arguing, Insulting Others, ... it just has to make sense in the context of what you were attempting, and be more specific than the skill you were using in the attempt. This game is almost exclusively roleplay, and very player-driven. Anything can happen, as long as the player can suggest it and the dice permit.

How will character creation work

Character creation is super-simple. You need a name, and a brief description. "Nik, the insatiably curious", "Jessica, the greasemonkey", "Velyn, wizard extraordinare", or anything else that seems to fit the mood of the group. Everything else is developed during play.
