About the adventure

Strange rumors pass from village to village, town to town - flying citadels, demonic cults, never ending hurricanes, pestilence. The World of Arca is changing, or some would say ending. But for those who seek purpose in this fragile world, opportunities are many. Arca is a homebrew setting where I can incorporate player ideas as well as my own. Here are some general notes about the setting: 1. Magic - Magic is special, powerful, and rare. Most humans have never witnessed it. However, Arca is not "low-magic". 2. Races - Arca is human-centric. Human nations, towns, villages, and tribes can be found throughout the world. Nonhuman races are far more rare, segregating themselves from much of the world each for their own reasons. 3. Tone - Arca is a dark and unforgiving world but one of fantastic elements - talking cats, faerie paladins riding dragonflies, plant lords, lich kingdoms, grizzled pirates, and much more.

How to prepare

Will need Discord, mic, and camera. Use physical dice or Discord bot roller. Manage your own character sheet. A copy of the 1e Players Handbook is recommended (helpful for spellcasters mostly) but not required.

What I provide

I run the game just like we're at the same table. No Roll20 or other VTT. I may share maps or illustrations as needed via Discord, but mostly stick with theater of the mind.

Gameplay details

The game may explore R-rated content such as fictional violence, theft, slavery, and so on. Players and GM will be responsible for policing overly sensitive topics. We can incorporate a system for avoiding specific topics if needed, but contacting the GM via private message will halt any current discussion path found to be inappropriate.
