THE WINDSWEPT TUNDRA OF ICEWIND DALE IS THE TRUE TEST OF ONE’S METTLE. HERE, IT’S SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST! DON’T BE FOOLED BY THE REINDEER WITH GLOW-IN-THE-DARK ANTLERS AND THE TASTY KNUCKLEHEAD TROUT (INCLUDING THE FRIENDLIER, MORE NORTHERLY CANUCKLEHEAD VARIETY). ICEWIND DALE IS THE FROSTBITTEN END OF THE WORLD. YOU CAN’T SPELL DICE WITHOUT ICE, MY FRIEND, AND THE FROSTMAIDEN IS NOT SOME DEMON PRINCE, VAMPIRE, LICH, BEHOLDER CRIME LORD, OR ARCHDEVIL. SHE’S A GOD—AND A COLD-HEARTED ONE AT THAT. Welcome to Icewind Dale! This is a great adventure for all players, new and old(school)! We begin at level 1, in a small town in the frozen North of the Forgotten Realms, in the midst of Auril's eternal winter. As your party travels across these beautiful but frozen and deadly lands, you will cross devil-worshipping cultists, fierce Yetis, and adorable Snowy Owlbears. Slowly gaining knowledge and experience, your group will rake on the mantle of protectors of the dales, defending the beleaguered citizens of Icewind Dale from despotic warlords, rampaging Dragons, and eventually an angry god! I like to interweave a good mix of RP and Combat, Horror and Humour into my games. The platform is Foundry VTT, and I have prepared an expansive library of animated scenes and battle maps to bring your adventures to life, using the power of: RPGScenery JB2A animations CZE-PEKU Speaking of JB2A, spells, and status effects will all be animated Tokens are provided by: Caeora Forgotten Adventures and even some beautiful custom Tokens created especially for us by players in my campaigns. I use a number of house rules to enhance the fun. These are very carefully considered after considerable research conducted through the online D&D community, for example: To balance Strixhaven background and flying races, each character may choose one of the two, or a free feat starting at level 1. Monk's gain powered up uses of Step of the Wind and Flurry of Blows between level 9 and 11. Old School sorcerer Bloodlines will gain additional spells. Moon druids have toned down early-level wild shapes, but enhanced bestial forms from level 6. Known spell casters can change 1 spell during each long rest, and prepared spell caster can swap a spell during a short rest.

How to prepare

Mic and browser that can handle Foundry VTT. A D&D beyond, Forge and Discord account are needed, but all of these can be setup for free. You should have some idea of the character that you want to play.

A huge library of tools, animations, and maps on Foundry.

Gameplay details

This is an adult game, with depictions and descriptions of gory violence, human sacrifice, poverty and death. My tone tends towards uplifting; yes things are bad, but YOU can make a difference. Sometimes a villain can be redeemed, other times the result will end in treachery. I go over what to expect in the game during session zero and whenever a new player is brought into the game, but I do expect players to inform me if they have any triggers.

How will character creation work

On my D&D Beyond campaign, with player choice of roles or enhanced point buy stats. Characters should be created before the first actual session. Characters start at level 1, and I have some additional details on my Discord page.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
