About the adventure

Once upon a time, the gods vanished, taking with them magic and miracles, and leaving the mortals to their own devices. Over time their stories became myths and legends, their teachings changed as the teachers changed, and some were lost entirely. Primal powers drifted off to sleep, and the doors to the planes were closed and obscured. Recently, divine energy has once again surged throughout the world, suffusing people and places with the light of their gods, some even claim that Helm and the Raven Queen walk the earth through their avatars. But there are other things that would shake the pillars of heaven once more. Spinning out of events from the Doom in the Boomtown campaign, as unknowable dangers loom on a vast horizon, new heroes and villains legends will be made. Those tales are yours.

How to prepare

The games will be ran over voice chat on discord, using Roll20 as a VTT. So devices capable of running those applications are required. Characters should be Roll20 accessible, backstories, if written, sent via PDF would also be appreciated. Please plan for a short session recap/post session debrief as necessary.

What I provide

A Roll20 Pro subscription with Dungeon Alchemist Maps for the VTT and access to a range of official supplements.

Gameplay details

The listed content warnings should be consistent with what you find in a typical fantasy RPG, and while the aforementioned content will not be present in every session, the possibility exists. While I would like a high level of IC interaction rather than resolve everything with a dice roll, players are allowed to RP to the extent of their comfort level, meta discussion is allowed, actions like looking up creature stat blocks during encounters is frowned upon. I expect this campaign and setting to evolve as player characters interact with it, so be aware, your actions may have consequences.

How will character creation work

Characters will begin at level 2, be prepared to jump in. Standard array (15,14,13,12,10 and 8) will be used. Please stick to official supplements (Player's Handbook, Xanathar's Guide. etc.). Character creation can be done using Roll20's sheets, or through D&D Beyond (please make sure the Beyond20 extension for Roll20 is enabled.)
