About the adventure

Survival is only the beginning... Welcome to the world of the Black Void - A dark and esoteric fantasy setting where human subsistence is in peril, as an eldritch cataclysm has exiled mankind from its homeworld, Earth. The Black Void RPG introduces action, adventure, intrigue and horror, as you and your fellow players seek to claim your rightful place in a vast and unfamiliar Cosmos or seek enlightenment in the mysterious Void filled with wonder, delight and dread. This is an asynchronous Play-by-Post Campaign. Players will utilize Discord channels for both in-character and out-of-character responses and will use Roll20 for tracking meta-game elements such as maintaining the character sheet and rolling dice and such.

Additional Details

How to prepare

You will need logins for Discord (for the bulk of communications for play) and Roll20 (for character sheet usage and tracking rolls). During the Session Zero time period which will last until we obtain at least three players, fees will be set to $0. That time will be utilized for character creation.

Gameplay details

Players can expect a rules-lite system. The game is pretty dark... Expect lots of evil things... Lots... For those unfamiliar with the Black Void RPG, Session Zero will be a simple rules explanation and character creation.

How will character creation work

We will do character creation during Session Zero. The system is fairly rules-lite but allows great opportunity for character depth and development. Characters will be created in Roll20 so as to allow real time access and track metagame elements such as dice rolls.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
