About the adventure

The logging town of Dyrnwyn is the last outpost of the Kingdom of Alricia. The hardy populace has spent the last ten years taming the wilderness, but as you arrive in town, they have fallen on hard and uncertain times. The autumn is unseasonably harsh, the trees wither, and some fell creature is making off with the unwary. What lurks in the dark of the vast aspen forest? And can it be killed? This is a one-shot adventure using the Dungeon World system. The story is inspired by Diablo, but you'll have the opportunity to shape the world, and we can continue the adventure in future sessions if you like!

How to prepare

The Dungeon World playbooks (character options) are publicly available for free online, which you can use to brainstorm character options. Other than that, just have Discord installed and bring your energy and a good attitude!

What I provide

This is a virtual session, so I'll bring my software, pdf of character sheets, and lots of expertise with this very flexible system.

Gameplay details

This game contains fantasy violence and murder, including some descriptions of gore. As a DM, I always conduct a Session Zero safety and content conversation with players. At the table, I also make use of the "X Tool."

How will character creation work

Dungeon World character creation is collaborative and requires just a few minutes. We'll each work together to create your character and an origin for the party, in a process that takes no more than half an hour for four players.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
