About the adventure

Borca. A land of wine, beauty and dark secrets. Where every blushing rose could hide a dangerous venom within it's thorns or the kiss of a lover could mean the end of someone's life. It is a haunted land, filled with the spirits of the forlorn, ancient pledges and Dark Powers. And opportunities for revenge. Always revenge. In hushed whispers by candle light do the people of Borca whisper of the seeming eternal clash between Ivana Boritsi and her cousin Ivan Dilisnya. Both matched by their terrible intellect and seemingly limitless cruelty, Borca has been a battle ground between the two for decades. Neither Ivana nor Ivan have been seen in public for the last 40 years but both have their presence felt. Many wonder if they are dead. Old scores seem to find their way into Borca, and you are no exception to that. someone has wronged you, terribly so. Your life was laid in ruins, and now you have the hate in your heart for the death of another. no, not death; they must suffer as you have suffered. As though to answer your dark prayers, The Mists have swept you up them, teasing you with the prospects of giving you your dark heart's desire. With others band together in the mist, find whether you have mercy within you, or are you the black hearted delight The Dark Powers crave. This is a 5e game of revenge, redemption, intrigue and dark secrets. Borca is a land of ancient laws, and they have been twisted by Ivana and Ivan to reflect themselves; a blundering fool will get cut down but a cunning blade can walk away with nod and a wink for the powers that be. As a fair warning: this is not a murder hobo's game. What will you do for revenge?

How to prepare

if you could bring a picture of your character that would be great so i can make a token for you. other than that i'll take care of things! also to play you'll need a roll20 account and a discord account.

i'll have books, maps and tokens for you and all the terrible things you'll run into!

Gameplay details

this game is a bit more of a roleplay focus, but there will be combat. fights in my games tend to be violent affairs; expect limbs to fly and people to die when steel is drawn. also, i tend to play for keeps: there's no resurrection magic in my games. we'll have a session zero, i like for everyone to get to know one another and to talk about their characters and what they hope to play. i also want to know what you hope to get out of the game, as i'm always looking to help you feel like the star of the show.

How will character creation work

character creation will be with me, i'll have the books on hand as we need it and i'll be glad to walk you threw the whole process both from a mechanical standpoint and to get to know your character so we can fit them in with the group. also the first two sessions are free!

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
