About the adventure

Are you interested in playing lesser-known (though highly deserving of a large audience) indie tabletop games? Come play a random indie game with me! Every session will feature a different indie game that will be revealed to the players once the session has begun! The session will cover character creation and a short, introductory adventure. Come join us for a free introduction into some of the best games out there!

How to prepare

We will be using zoom to communicate, so as long as you have a computer with zoom access and a working mic, you should be ready to roll. No camera necessary. Also, I would bring your dice. Every game may have a different main dice mechanic, which I can explain during the session. Whatever dice you do have, bring them in case you need them. If you don't have the necessary dice, there are plenty of free online dice rollers that should be sufficient.

What I provide

I'll bring the knowledge necessary to run the game, as well as applicable PDFs (mainly character creation, unless the game was free). I'll also have prepped a short introductory story for us to explore the world with the characters we've created together. I'm here to introduce you to new and exciting tabletop games from the indie community, games I sincerely hope you enjoy and leave the table wanting to play again.

Gameplay details

Themes and Safety Due to the randomness of the game choice, I cannot guarantee that a game might feature themes that might be triggering for some. I have tried to select indie games that I myself am comfortable with playing. That said, if you do sign up for a random adventure and feel comfortable with messaging me with general themes you'd like to stick to (and / or stay away from), I will make sure that the game will be decided with your preferences in mind. My aim is for the comfort and enjoyment of all players. I also have safety features in place for every game, including N and X card implementations and explanations before every game. If you are curious about N and X cards before we play, please feel free to message me and I'll be happy to provide any clarifications, as well as a safety toolkit if needed. Random Games Rule As such, the randomness of each game could jump from slaying monsters and grabbing loot, to playing a Capybara poet on a wandering journey through the Willowing Wood, to finding yourself in a virtual world filled with other players competing to become the world's best isekai protagonist. Every game will be random. If your group does decide they'd like to continue the story, we can communicate and get a weekly / monthly game going that includes my monthly rate of $5 per person per session (I'm currently free enough to offer this!)

How will character creation work

Character creation will happen during the session, PDFs of character sheets and / or basic character development instructions will be provided (depending on the game). I will NOT be giving out full PDFs of a paid game, as that is unfair to the creators (and illegal). Part of the fun is making wacky, funky characters to have fun with as a group, and will also help introduce you to how to play the game in general.
