About the adventure

Greetings, surfacer! Welcome to the Underdark, where endless labyrinths and ancient civilizations lay hidden under the Realms. The Underdark is deadly enough, even for the native dark elves, grey dwarves, and deep gnomes, but as you begin to make your way out of the darkness, a new horror emerges. Demon Lords and their minions fly from the Abyss, threatening to overrun not only the Underdark but the surface world as well. This game features a prison escape, a chase through caverns and across bridges, and sights to drive the wisest mad. There are so rarely happy endings in the Underdark. You hope to survive long enough to become the danger in the dark. This will be a bi-weekly campaign.

How to prepare

You will need a good mic and Discord. You will also need a D&D Beyond account, and a Roll20 account, and you will need to install the Beyond20 Chrome or Firefox browser extension. These are all free you just need to sign up for them. If this sounds like a lot, no worries! We can meet up before the first session and go over everything. Don't let technology be a barrier to the game. We can figure it out. Please send me an image of your character art for your token on Roll20, or let me know a little about your character, and I can find you one. Please have some idea of your character's motivations for the first session.

What I provide

I have everything we need to play, and by joining my campaign you will have access to most content on D&D Beyond. I bring a Roll20 with official content, with some other maps I buy from independent designers. I also bring a sick dungeon synth soundtrack, that you will be able to mute on the discord if that isn't your thing.

Gameplay details

Players can expect roleplaying, but I find being in character the entire time a bit exhausting. You can choose to speak in character or use a more narrative style. I do both. There will be combat. It will be bloody. Hopefully, it will be exciting. There will not be guns. Nothing against guns, but the types of fantasy stories I want to tell do not involve guns unless we are playing Expedition to the Barrier Peaks.

How will character creation work

Your character will start at second level. You will be given a link to the D&D Beyond campaign, where you will create a character. Make sure you create your character from the prompt IN THE CAMPAIGN, or you won't be able to use that character. Also, make sure you have the "Noncore D&D Content" and "Optional Class Features." You can roll your abilities in person during session zero, or use standard array. You can use legacy or custom racial bonuses, just follow the rules.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
