About the adventure

Located in the Mana Wastes, Alkenstar, city of smog, is a loosely western-themed city full of clockwork and steampunk technology. Players take the role of outlaws who were framed, or perhaps rightfully convicted, for crimes against the big shots in town. Band together for the sake of revenge on those who ruined you, and earn back your reputation along the way! Outlaws of Alkenstar is a level one through ten adventure that spans three books, with Punks in a Powderkeg being the first. Players are welcome to only join for one or two of the books but are encouraged to stay for the whole adventure.

How to prepare

Players should at least skim through the basics of how to play Pf2e as well at take a look at this Adventure Path's player's guide: https://downloads.paizo.com/Outlaws+of+Alkenstar+Player%27s+Guide.pdf Players should have a character made before session 1 or have collectively agreed and informed me that the beginning of the first session will be reserved for character creation. I will be speaking over discord, so a discord account and speakers or headphones are necessary, but a mic is only necessary if you use voice chat as well (text is fine too). Foundry VTT only requires a computer with a web browser and decent internet access. However mobile devices do not work well with Foundry.

What I provide

I will provide the VTT, maps, tokens, and any necessary rule books. If players do not have images of their characters, I can sketch them for players interested in playing through the campaign.

Gameplay details

A session 0 will be had to address expectations, to set Lines and Viels, and to notify me of any changes that might need to be made to the module (such as changing out a spider for something else or disabling blood effects). After session debriefing and communications during the session will be open for any concerns to brought up. Breaks will be had in the middle of the session, about every couple hours, or called as needed.

How will character creation work

Characters will begin at level 1 using standard creation rules. For newer groups, I can assist with character creation at the end of session 0 or before session 1 begins, but be aware that the creation process takes a minimum of 30 minutes and possibly longer if one take more time considering their choices.
