About the adventure

You don't know where you are. You don't know who you are, or how you got here, or who's chasing you. You don't know why they're chasing you, but you bet it has to do with the weird power you seem to have. And you don't know what they'll do to you if they catch you... but you know you'd better run! Psi*Run is a fast-paced game that runs in a single session. Using an easy and innovative game mechanic, you are faced with trade-offs in your attempts to remember your life. Starting with a loose outline of who your character is, by the end of the game you will have developed backstories and links between characters that shape their future.

How to prepare

The game will be run using Roll20 and Zoom. You will need to have registered for a Roll20 account. You are requested to have a webcam on during the game.

All game rules will be taught at the beginning of play.

Gameplay details

This game is fast-paced and improvisational. Players will be adding details to the story and background throughout the game. Intrinsic themes include memory loss, trauma and pursuit. Other themes arise in play, so we will have Lines and Veils in effect, as well as X, O, N Cards, Script Change tools and an Open Door Policy. My table has zero tolerance for any consent violations.

How will character creation work

It is not necessary to do any preparation before the session begins. Characters will be outlined at the beginning of the session, in a short guided character creation process. More details about characters will be fleshed out throughout as part of the game. The steps to character creation are: 1. What are you called? 2. What is your psi power? 3. What do you see when you look in the mirror? 4. What are some questions haunting you? There are no lists of powers or questions to pick from, so be prepared to do some improvisation!
