Praxis Hyperes - A Starfinder Adventure

About the adventure

The crew of the Trailblazer, working for the Galactic Commons, lay the foundation for hyperspace lanes between the stars. The stars have always been home, and now they've been asked to dig a hyperspace tunnel to the very edge of the galaxy - to a sector heretofore known only by the name "The Shadow Sector." Important scientific discoveries are only a job away, as is the financial freedom of the crew, but what might stand in the way of the project? What forces push against discovery? And can the crew overcome them and push the sentient species of the galaxy into a new age of discovery? Welcome to Praxis Hyperes, an RP-heavy, LGBTQIA2S+ friendly game within the Starfinder game system. While all the rules and character options remain vanilla starfinder, this game is set in a custom universe.

How to prepare

Players should have webcam and mic and an account on https://forge-vtt.com in order to access the game. Forge is free for players. Basic game materials will be sent upon registering, and players should have at least a passing familiarity with their character and their abilities by the start of session 1.

What I provide

I provide the VTT environment and all maps and tokens (unless custom tokens are requested, in which case they will be uploaded to the forge server and available for the player). I will also provide assistance in creating custom tokens to fit the game if needed. I also bring decades of storytelling experience and a playful, inclusive, and welcoming atmosphere.

Gameplay details

Players can expect a roleplay-heavy game with less tactical combat and more time for interpersonal and inter-character interactions. Players have agency within the world, and though they are not the center of the universe, they will have an impact with this campaign, for good or ill, and the galaxy may respond to their actions. Players can also expect a supportive and inclusive environment, where all are welcome at the table and LGBTQIA2S+ folks and BIPOC folks care supported and fully welcomed. Safety tool information as well as character creation information will be sent to players on registering, and session zero will cover expectations for both players and the GM.

How will character creation work

Players will be sent character creation information upon registering and will be free to create their own characters prior to session 0. Actual session 0 will be an opportunity to finish character creation and define relationships between characters. All characters should be level 1 (or appropriate level as determined in play if joining later in the campaign), and be of neutral or good alignment.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
