About the adventure

Want to playtest the new rules for D&D 0? Me too! This game is made for one-shots specifically meant to playtest the rules and send feedback to Wizards of the Coast. The adventure will be slightly zany and perhaps even a little bit generic, but the goal is to roll dice with friends and get in a good few laughs, while making the next generation of Dungeons and Dragons the best it can possibly be.

How to prepare

No webcam is needed, but a mic is appreciated. Please read over the PDF on the rules for the unearthed arcana. Players will need to create characters independently and then share them with the GM. FoundryVTT works through a web browser so no software needs to be installed, but it will not work on a tablet or a phone. Players will have dice and character sheets embedded in Foundry.

What I provide

I will create maps and character tokens unless the player prefers to provide their own token.

Gameplay details

Because this is a one-shot, I do not anticipate anything coming up that may require a trigger warning beyond the typical fantasy violence normally expected in a D&D game.

Content warnings

    (none)

Safety tools used
  • Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist
  • X, N, and O Cards
How will character creation work

I will send out a discord message full of home rules used for character creation. Players will then make a character then send me their character sheet before the session.

Players can expect

  • Combat/Tactics: Medium
  • Roleplay: Medium
  • Puzzles: Low
  • Experience Level: Open to all
