About the adventure

Malevolence is a horror-themed adventure for 3rd-level characters and taking place in a fully-detailed haunted house. With an immersive method of researching the history and truths of the mansion's macabre secrets through visions, dreams, and good-old fashioned ghost-hunting and investigation, Malevolence is ready to test your limits. - Party of 4. - Start at level 3, play through to level 6. - Approximately six sessions of three hours each. What do you need to know? - Malevolence is known to be a difficult adventure. Plan wisely with that in mind, but do not fret - I've taken onboard common opinion throughout and it won't be needlessly challenging, nor drearily grinding. What's in it for you? - Remade maps at higher quality. - Animations and sounds throughout. - Hosted on VPS (in Europe) with 500Mb/s upload speeds - you'll get no network lag here. - Game permanently available. Want to update your character the day before a session? Log in and retrain! Want to experiment on building your character before session one? Log in and have at it. What do you need? - A decent PC. Maps are of good quality, animations are used automatically and frequently, sounds are played often. This is Foundry at it's best - be sure your machine is capable of it. - A microphone. We'll communicate on Discord (which I'll provide). Webcams aren't necessary - I don't have one and I don't care if you don't either.

How to prepare

Players should have a character and/or character concept ready before they join. I am happy to help players build out a concept. You need nothing else but a microphone, Discord, and three hours free each session!

What I provide

FoundryVTT and everything needed for the adventure. I have links to info/knowledge sources for you if needed.

Gameplay details

Malevolence can be difficult and you'll need to work together. You can expect a mixture of combat and exploration (puzzle-solving included). Session 0 will be free and done prior to session 1, using Discord text chat. You can ask questions, ask for info/help, prepare the party etc.

How will character creation work

Discord, before session 1. Players can come up with characters alone, or work together as a party in Discord to come up with a party. The main thing is that players enjoy their character - playing something you enjoy is more important than "filling a gap" in the party! Players should ask about uncommon/rare options in all categories. All common options are available as usual.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
