About the adventure

Journey into the Underdark as literal HELL is unleashed upon the unsuspecting world. From aberrant beholders to dark elves, danger lurks around every corner, down every tunnel, in every crevice. If that weren't enough, now Demon Lords are beginning to emerge from the Infinite Layers of the Abyss to fight their fiendish civil war...and you are trapped in the middle. Can you escape the ancient horrors that are coming for your soul from... OUT OF THE ABYSS!? _______________________________ Fight to overcome the elements, as well as yourself! This is a Survival/Horror game. Food and water consumption will be tracked. Also this game will include a 7th "Sanity Score," as well as demonic madness mechanics. (See Gameplay Details)

How to prepare

A mic is required for in game chat, but video is not required. Discord is used for Voice Chat and party management. Link is available on my Discord User Profile. Foundry VTT runs through your web browser, including touch screen devices (no installation required) however, it can perform poorly, or not at all on older devices. I try to be very descriptive with a "theater of the mind" style, so technology issues may be an obstacle but not an exclusion. Be familiar with all of your character's abilities/spells etc.

What I provide

All game sources (including maps, character sheets, and rollability) will be incorporated into the Foundry Virtual Table Top program. I bring a high tech immersive experience to your table; including background music, sound effects, animations and more!

Gameplay details

Players can expect an open door policy to safely address any specific traumas or triggers. I have experience with PTSD as a veteran and want to accommodate best I can while preserving the integrity and comfortability of the gaming experience for everyone. **Note: this is a Survival/Horror game. Players with triggers related to starvation, dehydration, or mental health might find one of my other games more appropriate. I usually try to blend RP and combat as equally as I can. I anticipate most sessions will have at least one combat. **SANITY/MADNESS: This game includes a 7th Ability Score: Sanity (see DMG pg. 264). Sanity saves will be rolled when characters: •Take psychic damage or are subjected to the effects of certain mind affecting spells •Experience or witness traumatic events •Endure excessive exhaustion, (and more) ▪︎Failure of Sanity saves may result in short-term, long-term, or indefinite Madness effects

How will character creation work

I will provide a DNDBeyond campaign link with all available sources to date. • Players will create a 1st level character (any official race/class). • Ability scores: "Heroic Array" ▪︎18 17 16 15 13 11 • Standard Equipment or gold ☆Sanity score (rolled in Session Zero): Roll 4d6 -kh3 +Wis, Int, or Cha mod (highest score). Sanity CAN exceed the 20 cap.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
