Oh Hell Yeah! Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus.

Dungeons & Dragons 5e

D&D Beyond

About the adventure

Go to Hell - every week. In the infamous city of Baldur's gate, a flood of refugees from the nearby holy city of Elturel has arrived with tales of a horrible fate that has befallen their homeland. Our 'lucky' group of adventurers will face fiendish perils - deadly traps, rivers of fire, devils on motorcycles and more, in hopes of restoring the great city, and maybe earning a nice profit in the meantime. This will be a weekly game. Skipped sessions will be rare, with as much notice as possible. There will be a mix of combat, roleplay, and exploration. This is not a soft game - character death is a very real risk, often happening in very over-the-top brutal ways. We will primarily be using the official module, but I will be making some adjustments and adding a little homebrew and 3rd party content. Not excessively, just enough to add some 'spice' to the game. How will character creation work

Characters will start at level two. Character Sheets will be hosted on DND Beyond. I will have pre-made characters available or you can make your own. You can build/choose ahead of time or wait until session 0. If you choose to build your own you may use any official, published D&D material, including optional features from Tasha's Cauldron. No Unearthed Arcana, homebrew, or 3rd party content without prior approval. Use either Point Buy or Standard Array for abilities. If more than one player want to play the same class, we'll discuss how to make it work in session Zero. Generally it's fine as long as you pick a few different options, like sub-class or spell choices.

Players can expect

  • Combat/Tactics: High
  • Roleplay: Medium
  • Puzzles: Medium
  • Experience Level: Open to all
