New Players! Dungeons & Dragons - How to Make a Character and Play the Game

About the adventure

Hello new Dungeons & Dragons players! This will be a One-Shot session where I will help a group of new players make their characters and learn the rules of Dungeons & Dragons. There are three main parts of D&D - Roleplaying, Exploration, and Combat. During this you will get a taste of each of these aspects and the joys of D&D. We will be using Discord and a site called DnDBeyond.com to create your characters. I will screenshare from my side to help walk through the process. Lastly, it is never too late to join.

How to prepare

All you need is a microphone and the Discord program/app for voice, and a DnDBeyond.com account for the Character Creation.

What I provide

I'll bring my knowledge of the game and experience and a readiness to teach the game.

Gameplay details

For the first bit I will be screensharing DnDbeyond's website and walking you all through character creation. This shouldn't take too long, remember these characters don't need to be perfect or super thought out for the one-shot. The majority of the session will be playing the game!

How will character creation work

We will all create characters together during the session and I will help walk everyone through the process.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
