About the adventure

Mutant Year Zero takes you into the post-apocalyptic ruins of civilization. The ancients have destroyed themselves and left only rot and wreckage in their wake. You play the role of a mutant, one of a small community who have banded together in the wasteland. Together you struggle for survival and to understand the world that existed before. During this summer vacation mini-campaign, you and your group will explore ruins for food, equipment, and technology, and along the way you will have the opportunity to discover what happened to the old world.

How to prepare

Players must have a computer with a modern web browser that is compatible with Foundry VTT and a broadband internet connection for that computer. Players will need a free account for Syrinscape to be able to download the free online player we use for game sounds, and you’ll need a Discord account to communicate during and between games.

What I provide

I bring the Foundry VTT and Syrinscape licenses as well as the official ruleset and adventure.

Gameplay details

Players can expect intriguing mysteries, post-apocalyptic survival-adventure, some fun role-play opportunities, many jokes, and a quick and easy 'rules light' system that you can learn while you play. We will be making our starting characters together during session zero and talking about the tone and content of the campaign; then we’ll jump right into the action.

How will character creation work

We will make characters during session zero together as a group. Players joining after session zero will be able to sign into Foundry VTT before the game session to make your character. We will be using the rules in the Mutant: Year Zero core rulebook by Free League.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
