About the adventure

Legends of the riches that lay in the hills above town have been passed down for as long as anyone can remember. For just as long foolhardy adventurers desperate for cash or fame have come to town to try their luck finding the Waspmother Temple. Many come to find riches, but very few leave. The ones who do survive their ordeal leave babbling with an uncontrollable fear of wasps and intense trypophobia. Now you and a few other desperate souls are ready to try your luck. You have an advantage in that you are sure you know where the tombs lay. Can you make it into and out of the tomb of the Wasp Priestess to secure your fortune? Or will you end like so many others before you? A Mörk Borg one-shot designed for 3-5 players. Pre-gen characters are provided.

How to prepare

Players will require: 1. A microphone and headset attached to their computer. Without a headset, serious and potentially painful feedback can occur. 2. A Roll20 account. Prior to the game beginning, players will receive a link to join the game. Joining before the game starts will help everyone have more fun with less time spent on setting things up. 3. Players should have a Discord account and should have Discord set up on their computer system. IT IS NOT recommended for players to attempt play using a mobile device. 4. Players should expect to play using either a desktop or a laptop computer system. Players should test Discord prior to scheduled game time. Technical issues may eat into the scheduled play time and reduce the amount of time spent playing. Roll20 IS NOT OPTIMIZED for mobile. Using a mobile device, whether it is an iPad, iPhone, Android, or even a Chromebook can be a painful and unpleasant experience.Plan on using a laptop or desktop system. 5. Roll20 is optimized for use in the Chrome browser, though if Chrome is unacceptable for some reason, Firefox may be a suitable replacement. BE AWARE that Roll20 does not endorse the use of browsers other than Chrome. 6. Though Roll20 has integrated audio and video chat features, these features are frequently insufficient. This is why we will be using Discord and a server link that will be sent to you prior to the game beginning.

What I provide

Games will be played on Roll20, so I will be supplying: 1. Digital assets such as maps, tokens, sound effects, music, and handouts. 2. Any published or home brew modules that may be used. 3. Access to rules and compendiums through Roll20 during the course of the game. After the session is concluded, the compendiums will be disassociated from the game and your account. (Roll20 only offers so many slots for compendium use.) 4. If required, pregenerated characters.

Gameplay details

Handouts will include explanation of safety tool protocols, and a short discussion at the beginning of play will be conducted so that clarity is had by all participants. This is a heavy and violent game and a heavy and violent adventure. Players will be given multiple characters for the session because player character death is a high likelihood.

How will character creation work

Characters are pregenerated for players to speed up the process of getting started. Each player will select 3 characters from the available list and play them for the session. This is because the nature of Mörk Borg is that death is a frequent occurrence. Characters are fragile and easily broken.
