Mylthas

About the adventure

Dewshire is a small town on the continent of Azhiesa of the world of Mylthas. It sits in a valley nestled against towering mountains. A river runs through the valley, passing east through a narrow crevice in the mountains to the sea beyond. All the characters grew up here, and it would be a pleasant place to live if it wasn't plagued by numerous perils. These perils have led to the town's proudest business: the adventurer's guild operating out of the Redwing Tavern. The population of Dewshire is mostly human, but there are a number of beast/bird folk (using the races from the Humblewood TM Campaign Setting), elves, dwarves, and gnomes. Special racial note: I believe that orcs and halflings should remain in Middle Earth and so do not exist in my campaigns.

How to prepare

I play online in Discord. Cameras are not required, but a mic is preferred since texts can be overlooked. The game will be played in the theater of the mind since I do not have a virtual tabletop for miniatures or battle maps, so don't be afraid to ask questions to clarify where your character is in reference to others on the "board". You'll need your own dice. I do not require you to show your results, though many of my players have when they feel they've rolled too many high rolls in a row or to prove how terribly they are rolling.

What I provide

Everything is online. I am hoping to eventually get a virtual tabletop, but can provide simple battle maps to help give an idea and can set up a map grid similar to Battleship to help give an idea of where you are.

How will character creation work

We will create characters together during the first session. Everyone is from the same town, but the town is large enough that you may not know one another. I am open to working one-on-one to create your character if you'd like. Backstories are not required since you know little of my world but think of your place in the town: farmer, merchant, guard, etc. You might also be a traveling adventurer newly arriving to the Redwing Tavern.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
