Monster of the Week
Monster of the Week on Roll20, Discord
About the adventure
Unlike systems like Dungeons and Dragons, Monster of the Week is a by the Apocalypse product, which means that, rather than pre-planned stories, I tell stories in collaboration with you. Think shows like Supernatural, X-Files or Buffy the Vampire Slayer -- stories of monsters and the gifted people who keep them from disrupting the mundane "normal" world.
How to prepare
You will need a webcam as well as a discord and Roll20 account. Don't come with a fully prepared character, but please review the playbooks and determine some options you are interested in playing . Playbooks can be found here as provided by the publisher -- https://www.evilhat.com/home/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Monster-of-the-Week-Revised-Playbooks-2.pdf
What I provide
Monster of the Week, like all Powered by the Apocalypse games, is a game of "theater of the mind." Maps and the like are figured out through playing.
Players will work together to investigate supernatural events, be it ghosts, monsters or mythical beings. Once the players understand the target's weakness, they execute plans to take down their dangerous adversaries.

How will character creation work
The initial session will function as a "session zero" where we create characters -- including deciding which player will work which playbook -- and establish relationships. This is vital to the game and the "worldbuilding" of the campaign. We will also go over the basic "moves" of the game.
Players can expect
- Combat/Tactics: Low
- Roleplay: Medium
- Puzzles: Low
- Experience Level: None
