Midland Sandbox Adventure!

About the adventure

Welcome a Midland! Originally a Low-Fantasy setting modified for D&D 5e! This setting was originally designed with a sandbox style of play at the forefront. This includes 50+ quests (I am adding more fairly often!), detailed crafting to give use to artisan tools, and a world in constant conflict and strife! The game is solely driven by various hooks for the players to choose from or the the players' own exploration. The wildness is full of savage beasts, dark magic, and violent tribes. All have pushed the few civilized lands into a handful of cities. Invading Vornari from the north and Nydissians from the south exacerbate the tensions across Midland. Dangerous situations come often, requiring a party that knows well when it is best to retreat!

How to prepare

A functioning microphone is required. We will use Roll20 for gameplay and Discord for voice. A webcam would be nice though to read facial expressions. You also must allow me to record these sessions so that I may use them to showcase the games I run for future players.

I have fleshed out crafting details and a setting. I bring consistent DMing and consistency (except for emergencies of course)

Gameplay details

This game includes detailed crafting, wilderness exploration, quest hunting, as well as following the quests themselves! I also plan on including the players' backstories into the premade quests or making new quests just for the players!

How will character creation work

I allow sessions free of charge for players starting at level 1, with payment starting at level 4 (I do default XP system). This is mainly to teach new players and allow parties to get a feel for the setting, my GM style, and whether we click as a group. A group can forgoe all this and just start paying to begin at level 4. Otherwise, the party can choose to start at any level between 1-3 for free to test out the game. Your character sheets will be in Roll20. Stats are 4d6 drop the lowest, place where you want. If you roll a total less than 70, you can reroll. If you do not like your results, you can 27 point buy. A session 0 will be mandatory to make sure everyone is on the same page about the game. Session 0 is always free of charge.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
