Mendacium (D&D 5E)

About the adventure

Mendacium is a land that came to be close to 1000 years ago when a massive phenomenon known as "The Whirlpool" manifested, tearing apart three large landmasses and colliding them all around it. Since then, chaos ensued as the various nations fought for land and territory for many years. After countless battles and war, the various nations of Mendacium found themselves banding together to combat giants that wished to subjugate all of the Land of Mendacium. After almost two generations of war against the giants, the giants would sign treaties of peace and agree to stay within their own lands. As of Now, in this land of Man, Gods, and Monsters, a group of adventurers will find their place in it. How will they interact with the land and its' many problems and Mendacium finds itself in another course of strife? Will these individuals fight for peace? For glory? For love or hate? Or will they fight for something more? Mendacium is a cruel land of deceptions, truths, love, and despair. You may very well become its' Hero...or its' witness in something far more troubling... Come weave a tale of your own as you shape yourself into an adventurer that very well may be worthy of the title "Hero" and discover that there may be a threat requiring someone of your mettle and "character."

How to prepare

Discord and Microphone Roll20 Account Have an idea for a character that you wish to make for the game. Be ready to have a DM that is also ready to work with you about the concept and is willing to listen to your various requests for the character (Will be as accommodating as possible)

Gameplay details

Rules to Read - Respect everyone and everyone's time - If there are questions during a session, private message me or wait till a break or after session - Keep yourself organized (this helps myself and other players keep track of information or notes) - Try not to be a murderhobo (consequences exist) - Consider everyone's preferences and try to be considerate (PVP, Roleplaying tortuous or romantic scenes, slurs, etc.) - Don't be afraid to give feedback before or after session, we are all here to have fun so don't be afraid to ask me how I can improve sessions for you and everyone else. --- Consent - Do not, under any circumstances try to sexually harass other players. If you wish to flirt/start a romance in game with players or NPCs, make sure it is ok with them and myself or ask before/after sessions - If there is content or a moment in game that is making you uncomfortable, privately message me that you would like it to cease or end soon and I will rush to either fade to black or end the scene before it gets out of hand. - Once more, do not do anything to other Player Characters without the players' consent. -If a really "heavy" scene or moment in game is going to come up, I will always give warning and make sure all players are ok with it before continuing

How will character creation work

- Characters will start at level 3 (possibly level 2 if majority of players are new) - Voice Chats and such will be done in Discord. My user is Obvavele#9940 - Privately message me and I can also invite you to a server in discord where these games take place. - Privately message me any questions about character creation restrictions before game. - Character creation will also be done in a Roll20 game that will be linked to you after messaging me or joining the private server. - Character Backstories and details can be sent privately as well and we can work together to fit them into the world and how their stories can come up in game. - Consent Checklist has been pinned in the text channels "general" and "books"

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
