About the adventure
"The small seaside town of Otari is known for its fresh fish and skilled sailors, but above all, it’s a big logging town, providing valuable wood to the nearby metropolis of Absalom. Word has begun to spread around Otari that there’s a problem down at the Otari Fishery. Some are saying that some sort of beast is lurking in the basement, feeding on the stores of salted fish... Do you have the courage to face the menace under Otari?" Join your first Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition adventure, or your first adventure into the world of Golarion, in this converted Pathfinder adventure! This game would be perfect for you if you are: 🆕 Completely new to tabletop roleplaying games (TTRPGs) but are eager to learn in a low stress, welcome environment. ⚔️ Looking to try out an exploration and combat-based game to get your feet wet with the system. 📆 Interested in more than a one-shot but can't commit to a months-long campaign. 🌏 Interested in exploring a world outside of the typical D&D setting. 🎉 Excited to have fun and make some new friends! This adventure will likely go for three or four sessions, excluding a Session 0. Characters will go from Level 1 to Level 2 over the course of that adventure. It's the perfect opportunity to try out TTRPGs or StartPlaying, without making a huge commitment. This game will use Alchemy, a free browser and app based virtual tabletop that provides camera and microphone sharing, as well as support for fantastic music, effects, and visuals. Some AI art will be used as part of this game in addition to the official module art. Pre-generated characters are available upon request! Our first session will be a "Session 0," where we discuss how to play the game, the scenario, and discuss characters. That session will be free!

How to prepare
In order to play this game, you will need: • A working microphone. • A working web camera. • Reliable internet access and web browser, preferably Google Chrome. • A quiet space in which to play the game. • An Alchemy account. ( http://alchemyrpg.com ) • A computer that can run the Alchemy VTT. • A Discord account. ( http://discord.com ) • A character concept. Everything else will be handled by Alchemy or Discord.

During Session 0, we'll discuss safety tools and get characters set. Then, we'll dive into the adventure!

How will character creation work
Pre-generated characters will be available for those who want them. Otherwise, players should make a Level 1 character using the Point Buy or Standard Array options. Typically fantasy races are allowed for this adventure (e.g., human, elf, gnome, halfling) in addition to Goblins and Orcs, which are not wholly uncommon in the town of Otari. More information on character creation will be available in the Discord server for this game.
