How to prepare

A microphone is required, and a webcam is great for those comfortable. I will use one so you can see the face attached to the voice. You will also need an account a Roll20 account (free), a Discord (free) account, and a D&D Beyond (free) account. Access to the D&D 5e 2024 PHB is not required. I will provide rules access to those interested via D&D Beyond. Players are more than welcome to ask me about any splatbooks, WOTC or otherwise, that they may want to use.

What I provide

We will use D&D Beyond for character sheets, Roll20 for necessary maps and dice, Discord for voice. My GM style relies very heavily on character motivations and player drive. While the first scenario will be set for the players, choices matter, and what happens next comes down to them. All you really need though is a desire to roleplay your character, and the maturity to play well with others.

Gameplay details

In Session 0 we'll discuss Lines and Veils, and other safety tools. After each session, we'll discuss Stars and Wishes (and XP!). Further debriefing and discussion can take place in group or one-on-one after the session is over. There is no room at my table for Real-Life sexism, racism, ableism, ageism, homophobia, transphobia, abuse, aggression, bullying, or any other kind of toxic behavior against any other player. You get one warning only, because anyone can make a mistake. After that, you're gone, but if it's really egregious, you won't even get a warning.

How will character creation work

Character creation will occur in Session Zero. Pre-gens are available for those interested. I'm open to the use of just about any 5e product, official or otherwise, for your characters. Pitch what you want to play, and we'll make it work.
