About the adventure

As one of the best and most popular published modules to D&D 5E, The Lost Mines of Phandelver is a great adventure for beginners and veteran players alike. The story starts when your good friend, Gundren Rockseeker, invites you to be a part of something big. Something exciting. Something that will change all of your lives. As an old, long-forgotten legend turns into truth, your group learns about the existence of a hidden mine. A secret place filled with treasure, magic and riches beyond your imagination. It’s time to go on an old-fashioned treasure hunt – but your group is not the only one with an interest in the Lost Mines of Phandelver. Will you get to the bottom of the mystery first? Will someone else beat you to it? Or will the dangers along the way end up swallowing you whole? We can certainly find out… ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a low-level adventure that will take you from levels 1 to 5. It is targeted towards teaching new players how to play, but has plenty to offer for more experienced players, as well. A grand scheme is happening behind the scenes, and it is up to you and your group to solve the mystery and save the day. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ROLEPLAY This campaign is tailored to player choice. Depending on your character’s personality and backstory, the events of the campaign will change. Players can expect extended roleplay opportunities and situations where their choices impact the flow of the game. Note that roleplay and acting are not the same - if you don't want to use a voice, you don't have to. =) COMBAT Combat will be present but fast-paced and dynamic. It is never the DM versus the players, but the DM and players versus the environment. PUZZLES Puzzles will be present but occasional. Players can state their preference in session 0 on how many puzzles are included in gameplay. EXPERIENCE NEEDED None. I welcome veterans and beginners alike. =)

Additional Details

How to prepare

Players need a stable internet connection, a webcam, a working microphone, their character sheet, a notepad and a pencil. Sessions will be played over FantasyGrounds so the software for that needs to be installed (free demo). An image of your character is optional but appreciated. Dice can be rolled through FantasyGrounds, but I recommend bringing your own dice to the sessions, as rolling yourself is incredibly satisfying. =)

What I provide

I will bring a Fantasygrounds campaign (paid version that allows free demos to join), online battle maps and tokens. If you've provided me with a character image, you will have your own personalised token to move. I play background music during my games on a site called Watch2gether. The link to that will be provided at the start of every session.

How will character creation work

Character creation will work by standard array or pre-made character sheet. They will be made either beforehand or in session 0 depending on the wishes of the group. Beginners who have never created a character before can create their own with my help if preferred. Race and Class choices will be restricted to options from the Player Handbook, Xanathar's and Tasha's. For details, please contact me directly.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
