About the adventure

The Lost Mine of Phandelver is a great adventure for players both new and experienced. If you wanted to get into D&D 5th Edition, then this is a great starting point. Much of the adventure allows for new players to learn the rules as you play and is filled with many fantasy tropes to get you familiar with Dungeons & Dragons. You will explore, discover and fight your way across a region of the Sword Coast, as you search for a long lost ruin that holds a treasure of great importance. Using enhanced maps, premium tokens and effects, and an open-ended, sandbox style campaign that puts the power of choice firmly in the hands of the characters. Where you go from there, is entirely up to you! Will you explore other parts of the continent, sail the seas, or venture down below? The choice is entirely up to you, as this campaign will run the breadth and length of the Sword Coast! An immersive experience awaits you, with epic, challenging battles punctuated by premium sound effects and music suitable to the setting, varied and entertaining encounters brought to life with character voices ranging from subtle to over-the-top, and limitless adventures powered by your shared imagination!

Additional Details

How to prepare

Have a decent computer to run Foundry VTT (I own a licensed copy, so no software is required on your end), a decent headset and microphone, and an adequate internet connection. Also, the Discord App and account are required. A camera is not required. Please register for a free D&D Beyond account for character generation and management. Optional: you can make a free account at Hero Forge, which will allow you to create and customize a representation of your character as YOU see fit, which will then be imported into Foundry for use as your token. Or, I will make a character representation for you, should you not want to go through the process yourself.

What I provide

All necessary books and modules, Discord Server, Foundry VTT, in-game music and sound effects via Spotify and Syrinscape, and loads of character voices.

Gameplay details

A good balance of adventure and roleplay, with some mature content and language. You will start at Level 1, and (hopefully!) progress to level 15+ by the campaigns end. Session 0 is always free with me, if set up prior (due to your availablility) to session 1,we will "meet" on the Discord server and hash out your character and background, and do a short roleplay session to get your character underway. I use Syrinscape and Spotify to create a fun and immersive aural atmosphere, along with quite a few character voices, and along with Foundry VTT and various Patreon modules and assets, this makes for a fun, immersive and detailed gaming environment! So, let's have some fun, and make some new memories!

How will character creation work

Character creation will be done during a Session 0 (which is a free session if set up prior to Session 1), with dice rolls taking place in Discord with Avrae, and character sheet generation to be done on D&D Beyond (a free tier account required). We will meet on my Discord server to discuss character options, rules, expectations (yours and mine), and have a general question and answer session prior to session 1.
