About the adventure

Plunge into the depths of the lost ancient mine of Phandelver in the town of Phandelin for a chance at riches, powerful magical artifacts... or perhaps something much darker. The adventurers will have to charm, fight, lie, or sneak their way past powerful foes and clever townsfolk in order to get their hands on the lost treasure at the bottom of the mine. This pre-made adventure comes from Wizards of the Coast and is often recommended for new players but can be challenging and rewarding to even the most experienced players. The campaign is a great start and can even be used as jumping off point for a longer adventure. This particular campaign will see the players to level 6. First time players are welcome to bring custom characters but I will also supply pre-made character sheets for anyone uncertain about how to start! Sessions are ideally 2-4 hours, hosted weekly over zoom/discord. Game platforms can be flexible, the google suite can be surprisingly effective, I have a premium DND beyond account as well as Roll20.

Additional Details

How to prepare

I am very open to new players and have taught many, I don't expect anyone to be fully familiar with the 5e rules, but it's always welcome. Players don't need to come with anything, a webcam is fully optional but a mic is ideal. No software is required aside from discord or zoom.

What I provide

I can provide dice and maps as well as props for the session, but players are encouraged to use any form of digital or physical dice they have.

Gameplay details

In Session 0 I like to introduce the players and discuss a little bit about the world and their places in it. It tends to help new and experienced players alike get familiar with their party and better settle into a role, as well as helping to set the scene for an exciting story. Lines and Veils will also be discussed in session 0 as well as any concerns players might have, it's a very safe space to ask questions and learn more. Optional aftercare is available for each session. I like to get feedback from my players to help me understand what's working and what isn't for everyone, if not everyone is having fun then the game isn't being run successfully.
