About the adventure

"It all started with a simple mission: escort a wagon to the next town. Easy money we said. But soon enough, arrows were flying all over, and people? Dropping left and right." In this short campaign, spanning from levels 1 through 5, you will get to (or learn to!) fight monsters, investigate different leads, tame beasts, talk to colorful NPCs, solve puzzles, roleplay with friends and foes, etc. This is a great adventure for people that are new to the beautiful game that is Dungeons and Dragons! During the first session (session 0), we will go over the core of what makes the game, and create your own characters together, so that you might have as much fun as possible living in their skin! We will also talk about limits you do not feel safe crossing, and a few other things to make sure you have the best experience possible. If you aren't used to roleplaying, don't worry, we're not asking you to make voices or anything. Roleplaying is simply thinking in the shoes of your character! Both during session 0, and at any point during or in between sessions, I will always be available if you have any questions. So, are you ready to get out there and free the world of whatever corruption you might come across?

How to prepare

Join the discord server, have a working mic, and try to be on time :p Create an account on Roll20 and D&D Beyond (it's free). That's pretty much it, we will be doing character creation and talking about limits during session 0!

What I provide

Roll20 maps, access to all sources on Beyond, and dynamic lighting!

Gameplay details

Expect a bit of everything, this adventure is made to teach and explore DnD! I do not expect you to know all the rules by heart, that's what I'm here for :p Know your own character, and have fun! Safety-wise, I will be available at any time in between sessions to text or talk if need be, or even during the session if something is wrong. Likewise, I tend to join the voice chat an hour before the game, and stay afterward in order to talk with the players (if they want to). The discord group chat is also there if you need to talk to the team in between sessions!

How will character creation work

You will start at level one. If you are completely new, we will be using Beyond for character sheets, I'll show you during session 0. If you already know how to make your character sheet, you can use an alternate website, or even a physical copy, if you'd like. Either way, we will create characters in session 0, but you can already think about it beforehand! What kind of life have they been leading up to now? Do they enjoy fighting? If so, how do they fight? If not, why did they become adventurers anyway? In any case, don't worry too much about it, if you lack inspiration or aren't sure, session 0 will be there for that!
