About the adventure
An ideal beginner adventure! New to adventuring, you have taken on your first job - guarding a shipment making its way south from Neverwinter. As you journey down the Sword Coast, you come across signs that all may not be well in the area of Phandalin... Aimed at people completely new to the hobby, this is a short campaign - perhaps four or five sessions which could be extended to more. There's no need to even read the rules; this is a completely beginner-friendly session.

How to prepare
I will use a webcam and a mic on Zoom. You need at least a mic, although webcam is optional. Beyond having a D&D account and a character, having access to Roll20 would be useful but not essential. I'm happy with you using digital dice on either Roll20 or D&D Beyond, or using your own physical dice.
What I provide
I will be bringing my Zoom account, which means we can chat uninterrupted, and hopefully a fun adventure for you to enjoy!
Gameplay details
This is a straightforward game for 1st level characters, ideal for folks who are completely new to the hobby and for those who know their stuff. It is short, designed to be played through in a few sessions. You can expect more roleplay than combat, although there is room for both, and as with all D&D - there's more than one way to solve the mystery! The campaign deals with medieval-style combat, fantasy depictions of weapons and actions of violence, creatures with evil agendas and theme-appropriate violence. This is all presented appropriately for a PG-13 audience.

How will character creation work
The first session will be a combined Session 0/Character creation and then, depending on time, we will get going with the adventure. If you have a character in mind already, great! You can create them ahead of time and post them in the D&D Beyond Campaign. If you don't, no worries - I'll walk you through character creation and explain everything as you need it.
Players can expect
- Combat/Tactics: Medium
- Roleplay: High
- Puzzles: Low
