About the adventure
Welcome new adventurers! In this beginner’s adventure, you and your fellow adventurers are on the road to the town of Phandalin when they stumble into a goblin ambush. They discover that the goblins have captured their dwarf friend Gundren Rockseeker and have taken him to a place called Cragmaw Castle. The adventurers are currently helping the town of Phandalin deal with a brutish gang call the Redbrands who are shaking the townsfolk for coin and being a terror to the town, having killed one man in broad daylight already.
How to prepare
Players need a working microphone, webcam, discord, and at least a free dndbeyond account. Dice rolls will be made on Dnd Beyond so physical dice are not necessary.
What I provide
DM will provide the discord game and voice channel and dndbeyond campaign link for the players.
Players should expect a beginners game to Dungeons and Dragons. Low, easy to follow stakes and plot points, guiding through what one’s character can do and how turns and actions are made. There will be a consent form to be filled out before session 0, we go over the consent form, establish lines and veils before character creation and before session 1. Red, yellow, and green cards as well as the X card are also highly encouraged during each session as well as wellness check-ins.
Safety tools used
- Lines and Veils
- Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist
- Open Door
- Session 0
- X, N, and O Cards
How will character creation work
Players will create a level 1 character during session zero or use one of the provided premade characters. All characters will be made using the standard array numbers for stats. Players can use anything from Dndbeyond to make their characters, and if they already have a character sheet ready, simply need to upload it to the DnDBeyond campaign link in the player materials to be reviewed by the DM.
