Lords of Melvaunt - Adventure, Management, and Combat

About the adventure

A new party of 4th level heroes assembles in Melvaunt, the City of Swords, a bustling frontier trade port on the northern Moonsea. The party has been called by the city to rescue a missing group of young nobles - heirs to the most significant families in the city. Rumors abound that the Orcs of Thaar have also been busy of late - flocking to the banner of a charismatic warlord at the fortress of Xûl-Jarak. With the future of Melvaunt's nobility on the line, the city offers our heroes noble titles - a future of wealth and privilege - if they are able to rescue the heirs and uncover the wicked intentions underlying their disappearance.

How to prepare

Please have a webcam, headphones, and microphone. Player dice rolls will be over D&D Beyond. Please have a created and approved character (per above) and basic familiarity with the game rules, my table rules, your character, and Owlbear Rodeo.

What I provide

I will share a D&D Beyond link for character creation, a Discord for voice and video chat, an Owlbear Rodeo link for the virtual tabletop, and art as we explore the setting and meet NPCs.

Gameplay details

Balanced across combat, roleplay, and exploration. After becoming established, our heroes will spend more time on world-building, crafting, town management, and ultimately diving into individual backstories as we tell their story together.

How will character creation work

Please create a 4th level character on D&D Beyond using standard array or point buy, to be shared with and approved by me prior play. I generally allow all published content appropriate to the game and setting and like to work productively with players to develop characters that are both fun for them and the group.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
