About the adventure

You wake in a jail cell... how in the world did you get here? "Limbo: City Escape" is a 5e mystery game where characters remember who they were, and vaguely what they were doing, but have been body swapped! Trapped in a body that doesn't belong to them, with abilities unknown to them, players must work together to find out who they are now, and how to get back to their real bodies before the cultists gather them for their final dawn.

How to prepare

Please expect to use a quality microphone, webcam is optional. I ask for a basic understanding of 5e, but can help to guide players new to the system. Your GM prefers to use physical dice, so you may use whatever dice makes you the most comfortable. I ask for accountability in all things though, and will call out when it feels like someone is cheating.

What I provide

I'll be bringing pre-made character sheets that will be hidden from players until they solve mysteries about what abilities they have. The stats on these sheets will slowly be revealed during gameplay.

Gameplay details

Players can expect to fill out an anonymous form for lines and veils, to have the lines and veils anonymously shared for safety and visibility.

Content warnings

Safety tools used

  • Aftercare

  • Breaks

  • Lines and Veils

  • Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist

  • X, N, and O Cards

How will character creation work

Please bring a simple empty character sheet and a way to fill it out. Please bring to the table an idea of who your character was, and a little about their background and backstory. Players will be asking questions and solving the mystery of what kinds of abilities they have as we play the game, so you will not have to fill out a character sheet until we get to the gameplay.

Players can expect

  • Roleplay: High
